Hotbloods #1) by bella forrest – free ebooks download

Great story that just leaves you hanging! I hate these types of books that stop right at the most important moment! Why the hell to I now have to wait for the next book to come out?? This sucks! The plot was very slow and the characters boring and bland.

The narration was good but that's its only redeeming quality. Shame I didn't like it as I like some of the authors other work. Kinda sad I used a credit for this, book is ok but not complete, it just ended mid story. Add to Cart failed. Please try again later. Add to Wish List failed. Remove from wishlist failed.

Warhorses became large and stocky, able to carry medieval knights in heavy chain mail, while draft horses were bred for strength to till the land or to heave heavy carts across difficult terrain. The ultimate breeding triumph is undoubtedly the Thoroughbred, which was developed for the racecourse, and therefore pleasure. It is aristocratic and finely-tuned and its bloodlines are in many of the modern breeds we know today.

It is responsible for adding quality, beauty, speed, and stamina. Not content with a comprehensive coverage of the horse breeds and types of the world, there are also sections on care to give the reader a complete and rounded insight into the pleasures, as well as problems, of looking after horses.

I felt that the romance wasn't entirely convincing either.

There was some attraction there but the romance almost felt forced. This is a fast-paced story so that may be why the romance felt too sudden. Even though there isn't any romance until the last chapter of the book and it is quite brief. I felt that they needed to share more moments together to develop romantic feelings towards each other.

It didn't feel like the time that they had spent together really justified it. I am rooting for them though. I hope that the romance gets better in the next book. Overall, I enjoyed this story but I felt that some of the execution could have been better.

There were many things that didn't click with me while reading this, though it was entertaining enough. It did hold my interest enough that I want to continue with the next book. I think that the story has promise even if some of the development didn't come across as top notch. This was a quick read and I would recommend this book because the premise is interesting enough and the writing is decent. Not good I have no idea what this book was about. They're cold-blooded hot bloods? I don't know how or why. There's a strange relationship between these two that I also don't understand. Hard to follow. Lots of excess description and thought. I tried to skim through to the end but just couldn't finish. View 1 comment. Jan 01, Nazbit91 rated it it was ok.

The only reason why I downloaded it was because it came up on my Facebook, and then continuously came up on my browsing searches on amazon.

Where do I start, well I suggest you take a seat! It started off good, with good pacing, decent characters and good description. But, then it went all over the place. The MC meets the hot bloods and so much happens in the space of a few days that just seems ridiculous.

Then they end up going on a mission FOR said group, just to gain their trust. I mean if this group is really that suspicious of them would they hand them all these weapons, armour and technology?

One stupid decision after the other. Also the randomness of things! When her birth parents come back into her life. The 2 stars is for the premise and what the book could have been. Very interesting take on vampires etc, and I was intrigued by a softer main male character. Feb 16, Cal Cal's Reading Corner rated it liked it. The beginning was a bit slow, as I find many fantasy novels are mainly because we know the mysterious people aren't human! It oddly reminded me of Ruby Dixon 's space universe. This was more centred on vampires, though. The love dynamic was really good and perfect for anybody who enjoys a cliche love-affair, like me! The supernatural creatures are unique and refreshing, and the political clashes are excellent!

The "cliffhanger" didn't really hook me, but that's okay. I'm here for the characters and the romance basically. Dec 01, Pankhuri Paliwal rated it it was ok Shelves: paranormal. I hoped to love this book but that didn't happen. I actually didn't stuck with the idea of vampires being an alien advanced race and all that stuff. So I was not even able to finish this book I hoped to love this book but that didn't happen. So I was not even able to finish this book Apr 05, Laura..

I didn't feel the chemistry between the two MC's, its more like how i would act like with my girlfriends, the only endearing quality i found with the male MC was his innocence to humanity. It felt a bit like a bad version of twilight, the writing style was good but the story was Meh At one Point male MC states not to worry and he sense if he will sense if he is being followed even though the first part of the book the MC sensed sod all whilst he was being followed over continents May 27, Rebecca rated it liked it Shelves: , to-reread , kindle-books-i-own , series-to-complete , audiobooks.

This was an Ok new book in a new series. I really didn't need to start a new series at this point because I am already reading too many incomplete series. And actually I think I've found a common flaw I have with this author and new series. I don't ever feel really gripped by her books on the first reading but then I reread them and I love them. The main characters are Riley and Navan, but for me for a first book in the series the romance between these two characters was just too forced.

I'm sur This was an Ok new book in a new series. I'm sure after I've reread it it will be totally swoonworthy and Navan will be one of my many book boyfriends or something but for the minute it was just a bot meh. There are some secondary characters but none I found particularly noteworthy on first reading. The storyline was OK but it did feel a bit forced.

And the pacing was good. I will be rereading this book again sometime soon but I'm not sure when. Jan 04, Miranda rated it really liked it. I don't know what I was expecting, exactly I just bought the second book, Coldbloods and I'm diving in right away!! Jan 04, dk w rated it it was ok. Dnf-nothing to grasp onto. They are working on a farm in the middle of nowhere in Texas when they meet some gorgeous "lumberjack" looking guys working on an adjacent property.

These strong silent types turn out to be hiding a big secret - they aren't human. The girls become reluctant friends of these strangers. Riley and the leader of the guys, Navan, embark on a mission to save Earth from his kind. During their journey, Riley and Navan get to know each other better. I have to agree with some other reviewers on this one - it started out good, but just when the action got going, it deteriorated. It felt like an author's first book - in trying to pick up the pace to make the action more exciting, more problems were thrown at the characters in a short amount of time not allowing for any resolution of the prior challenge.

The result was a feeling that the characters were just being thrown around the globe without any true purpose, and worse - view spoiler [ the book ended before they were anywhere close to achieving their first goal. I had high hopes and they were squashed like a grape. Jun 26, Rachael rated it it was ok. Boo, this book was horrible. The main character guy Navan was supposed to be a lust worthy book boyfriend but I just never felt any attraction for him.

The main character Riley was so SO annoying. Their relationship felt forced and unbelievable and I couldn't wait to get to the end. There were very few plot twists and no jaw dropping moments and I ultimately couldn't get through it fast enou Boo, this book was horrible.

There were very few plot twists and no jaw dropping moments and I ultimately couldn't get through it fast enough. The attempt at a cliffhanger at the end was just not extreme enough for me and I don't care to read on any further. Jan 28, C. The journey from the start of the story to the end is extraordinary. I never even contemplated the direction this story would take. Neven and Riley are a brilliant couple.

Neven is a classic hotty looking for redemption. Mar 22, Michelle's Paranormal Vault of Books rated it it was amazing. Awesome new series! I love this new take on vampires. I don't want to give anything away so I'll just say I love the connection between Riley and Navan. Now I'm off to read book two! I highly recommend this series.
